Why the Science of Dog Training is Positively a Belief System

 

It is amazing the power a word can have in both meaning and message.  The word “positive” as it is used by the science of dog training ideologues and nutcases has more spin on it than a steroid fueled pitcher throwing a curve ball at a Major League game.  The double meaning and underlying message attached is both designed to carry forward the anti-dominance talking point while attempting to paint challengers to this agenda into a corner as abusive.  Those who continue to walk the ideological fence of this agenda are about to get knocked off by those have other plans.  The remote collar ban which is spreading throughout the UK and other areas is a symptom of this ideological cancer.  Those in positions of authority and power are mandating this ideology as the law of the land.  While many discern the fanaticism at the core of this ideology the ability to halt it has almost reached the point of no return based on the type of attitudes moving it forward.  Those buying into this ideology and agenda are doing so for their own selfish reasons none of which are about meeting the relational needs of dogs.  Societies permissive and selfish attitudes have unleashed this ideological nightmare.  The sad reality is that dogs have become pawns as a result of this out of control agenda.  For many dogs are merely a mirror which allows them to elevate their own feelings and emotions.  Dogs are not perceived as relational beings with separate needs.  They are devalued as a result.
